Networking Services

So you have a networking issue that needs to be meet. We provide services in many areas and we can do so because of our versatility and many years of experience.

Networking spans quite a diverse area such as PC's, servers, internet access issues, wired or wireless type connections, routers, communications, and network traffic problems. We can help you with your networking issues in all these areas of expertise. Today's high-powered and resource hungry applications demand the right workstations and servers. Knowing that every application is different, Your PC Paramedic, LLC can custom-build each workstation and server according to the demands it will face, giving you optimum performance and value for your technology dollar.

LAN Networking

We design, install and work on local area networks (LAN) which is a computer network covering a small physical area, like a home, office, or small group of buildings, such as a school, or an airport. The defining characteristics of LANs, in contrast to wide-area networks (WANs), include their usually higher data-transfer rates, smaller geographic range, and lack of a need for leased telecommunication lines. Presently ethernet over unshielded twisted pair cabling, and Wi-Fi are the two most common technologies used.

WAN Networking

We also design, install and provide support for Wide Area Networks (WAN) which is a computer network that covers a broad area i.e., any network whose communications links cross metropolitan, regional, or national boundaries. A WAN is a network that uses routers and public communications links. Contrast with personal area networks (PANs), local area networks (LANs), campus area networks (CANs), or metropolitan area networks (MANs) which are usually limited to a room, building, campus or specific metropolitan area (e.g., a city) respectively. The largest and most well-known example of a WAN is the Internet.

Networking To The Insternet

We will troubleshoot your internet connectivity whether it be via a "T1 or Partial T1 Line" "Cable Modem", "DSL Modem" or "Dial-Up Modem". We have experience in all these areas of connectivity. The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that interchange data by packet switching using the standardized Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP). It is a "network of networks" that consists of millions of private and public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by copper wires, fiber-optic cables, wireless connections, and other technologies.

Wired & Wireless

Networking via Wired or Wireless Networking via Wired or Wireless

We troubleshoot a lot of the wired premises and wireless routers for residential and businesses owners. The use of wired or Wi-Fi is a personal decision based mostly these days out of convenience. If your in business, the decision should be based mostly on efficiency and security. Wired communications via CAT5 or CAT 6 standards today are very efficient and mostly error free with the threat of security at a minimal. On the other hand Wi-Fi, the popular wireless technology used in home networks, mobile phones, video games and other electronic devices that require some form of wireless networking capability are not as efficient when it comes to transferring large amounts of data and has a greater susceptibility to security issues.

Troubleshooting a VPN is not rocket science or brain surgery but it is also not for the average individual trying to connect to work from home. This does require some forethought and most of the time requires two or more individuals (YPCP and your IT staff) to converse find out what the requirements are of your employment.
